Family Fun...

Today we had some family pictures made at a nearby park.  Here are a few shots Jeff and I took afterwards.  This park is BEAUTIFUL.  You would never expect to find it in the middle of a busy area.

Running down the hill..

We tried so hard to keep Ryan awake the whole way home (25 minute drive) we were VERY unsuccessful.

S is for Strawberry Jubilee

Yesterday we went to a local farm's Strawberry Jubilee.  We had never been there before so we had no idea what to expect.  We had such a blast!! There were so many wonderful things for Ryan (and Jeff) to do.

We had  lots of fun picking strawberries right off the vine as well.  I had never done anything like that before so it was a new experience for me as well.  Ryan liked squishing the strawberries and getting red juice everywhere.  We had a great time and all came home tired.

He's my size!

Videos

Here are a few videos that I have taken in the past couple of weeks...please enjoy.

Ryan follows directions!!  It is amazing to watch him do things.  He learns so quickly.

Here is a video collage of our recent trip to Texas.  We had a wonderful time visiting with our family!!

Lastly --- Ryan gets kisses from the duckie.  He had been laughing about this hysterically for about 5 minutes prior to this video being taken.  He was almost over it when Jeff started rolling tape.  :)

Happy Memorial Day

We just wanted to take a moment to say a big Thank You (dank yoouu) to all of the brave men and women who have served or are serving our country.  To those who have given their lives fighting for the freedoms we enjoy, we are grateful.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this country such a wonderful place for us to live, raise a family and proudly call home.

Here are a couple (not so great) pictures of our Memorial Day Weekend.  We were very busy all weekend long!

Grilling and watching the planes on our deck..

We tried to go to the pool but they closed it due to weather right when we got there.  It was not raining --- yet.  We came home, changed and went to the hardware store instead.  We came home to a downpour.  Ryan loves to hold the umbrella.

Lastly ---- Ryan wants to wish his Papa a Happy Birthday!  Papa, I wish I could be there to celebrate and eat a piece of Aunt Jenn's cake.  Love you.  - Ryan.

G is for Great Falls

Today we continued our alphabet adventures with the letter G.  We decided to venture down the road to Great Falls.  It is a hidden beauty here in VA.  Ryan had a great time checking out the falls, walking around the trails and collecting rocks.  We wished we would have thought to bring a blanket and toys to play with so we could have stayed longer.  We actually didn't plan on going there today but just kind of happened to go there so we didn't plan too well.  We still had a wonderful time and look forward to going back!!

Oh and I played with my camera/editing so some of the pics are a bit different than normal...
