Happy Halloween

Halloween this year was fantastic.  The boys were so into it and wanted to trick or treat for quite a while.  Emily even seemed to really enjoy it as well!  We did our usual, our street then a few houses on another street.  After that we came back to the house and the kids had a BLAST handing out candies to all of the other trick or treaters.  The boys would anxiously sit looking out the window for another trick or treater.  Ryan was stingy with the candies while Owen would give them a half-dozen pieces at least. :)

lil missy got so many compliments on her outfit!  Thanks Charlotte and Doe!

Owen was originally going to be a police officer, then he thought a bat.  He wore the police officer costume to a party but on the day of Halloween decided to be Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc.

the cutest lil elephant I have ever seen!

my lil fireman -- so proud!

this wagon lasted about 2 minutes

Yesterday...

Yesterday Ryan came and brought me these and made the statement, "Mommy, these are my favorite states."

I asked him why they were his favorites, even though I was fairly certain of the answer.  Texas, obvious.  Florida, for Mickey and Disney World and Pennsylvania for Dutch Wonderland.  I asked him which was his very favorite of all and he said Texas without hesitation.  Then I asked him where was the state he lived in?  He said well, I don't really like that state so much.  :/

and another funny...

Yesterday the kids had to get the flu shot.  The boys were getting flu mist in the nose and Emily a regular shot.  When we were getting ready to get in the car, Owen decided to shout across the street to his neighbor friend, "We are going to get shit in the nose!!!!"  It was hilarious, I did video him saying that later.

Just Emmy

Flashback Friday

I have a million things to catch up on.  The list I have of things "to blog" is hilarious.  I figure I had better have throwback posts almost daily for a month or so just to catch up.

All of these photos were taken with my phone...

The summer of 2012 started off with nearly everyone (except Jeff) sick.  Very sick.

I think this washrag was the only thing that day that didn't make him cry.  :(

Then on June 6th, it hit Ryan.  We wound up making a trip to the ER the following day.  That day just so happened to be our 10th wedding anniversary.  No better place to celebrate than the ER.  Jeff stayed home with the littles and I found myself feeling more and more ill by the minute.  fun.

A few nights later and me still not feeling well at all, we celebrated our anniversary in DC.  We changed our mind about 10 times on where we would go.  We decided to stay local since Emily was just not ready to be left for a long trip.  I felt so bad that I didn't even want to get out of bed, but somehow managed to go to one very expensive dinner.  I think I ate 2 bites, maybe.

they had a table full of cheesy decorations that looked like they had been leftovers from many, many Valentine's Days ago.  It made me laugh.

then this little lady fell ill.  I savored all the extra cuddles.

and then him, again.

Why Hello There...

Wow, I haven't blogged since July.  In that time we...

Took a road trip to Texas for a month.  Yes, we drove.  Yes, we had 3 young children in the car with us.  No, this wasn't the first time we have driven.  Oh and it was completely spontaneous, like we decided a Saturday morning that we wanted to go and we left that afternoon.  Crazy town.

A certain little person decided to start walking!!!

A certain little lady turned one.  We had a fantastic celebration with our family.

We reluctantly returned home.

The little men started school.

We went to Disney World for a week.  It was pure awesomeness.  The kids were fantastic.  We had a blast.  We can't wait to go back.

Back to life, back to reality.

Fall set in.

I decided that I was undecided on my photography business.

Little Lady forgot that she was a baby.  Seriously, she climbs, she tries to jump, she started talking and well just not being a baby.

The hubs had a birthday.

A certain little boy turned 3.  Three.  THREE?!?!!

A hurricane came...but really went around us (thank goodness)

And today is Halloween.  Happy Halloween! (and no, those are not their costumes)

*more posts to come...more details to come.
