Several weeks ago we took the boys to pick strawberries. Last year we found a great farm not too far from our house and going there is quickly becoming a favorite tradition. The boys helped us load up with over 10 pounds of fresh strawberries. Due to the fact that we had lots and lots of rain this spring, the strawberries were some of the juiciest I have ever tasted! We had so much fun picking berries with the boys as they stuffed their bellies full sweet, strawberry goodness!!! We went through the strawberries in no time. I used some (maybe 3 pounds worth) to make strawberry jam. I now have 8 jars of strawberry jam in my freezer and it is delicious!!!!  |
