Breakfast

I snapped all of these pictures yesterday while Sister was "eating" breakfast.  I use the term eating lightly because pretty much the only thing she was doing was throwing food on the floor (another favorite activity of hers).  There are A LOT of similar images here, but they were all so wonderful and capture her just the way she is.  She is such a delight, so full of joy and yet serious at the same time.

she was ready to get out.

wait...you are still here taking pics.  I said out.

Computer Girl...

Climbing into the chair by the computer is probably Sister's favorite thing to do right now.  She loves banging on the keyboard or tossing the mouse around a little bit.  I would venture to guess that I have to make her get down at least 20 times a day.  She is non-stop.  I think I need more places to put the boys artwork.  My fridge is looking a bit crowded!  and...look at all that hair my bald baby is getting!!!

Ha, Ha, Mommy.  Look what I'm doing!

just give me 5 minutes

almost done...

what?

While one brother slept...

the other brother did what he loves more than anything else right now, he played Wii.  Big Brother loves the Wii and he loves this new shirt he got for Christmas.  I am fairly certain that he has worn it all but two or three of the days since Christmas.

Jan 3rd

Yesterday Little Brother toted around a Gymboree sack for hours.  It was his "shopping bag".  He would grab Sister's baby and stroller and zip around the house shopping at various locations, adding to his bag along the way.  Him "shopping" around the house yesterday made me realize even more that my kids are always watching everything I do.  They are seeing it all and taking it all in...the good, the not so good, they are learning and everything that we do is shaping who they will become.
Time to go shopping!

and a bit later, this common occurrence.  Little Sister is a CLIMBER.  I never believed people that told me their child climbed everything.  How?  She does.  She climbs on top of the kitchen table, the counter, the toilet, the bunk beds...everything.  She is quick.  She is agile.  She is determined.  Oh and she didn't use anything for a boost to get over that couch.  She just wanted to get over it and she did.

I am not going to commit to doing a 365 project with my photography this year.  But I am going to commit to using my camera, taking everyday pictures of my kids, actually editing them and trying to document our lives!  For the past few days, this little boy has been wanting to get into his sister's bed when she wakes up from nap.  On this particular day they read a story together, jumped in the bed together and then little brother posed for a few shots for me.

The blue sheet on Sister's bed?  Well, that is just the color that was clean when I needed a fresh sheet.  She doesn't mind.  ;)

Back to life..

Back to reality...

today was kind of sort of not so fun.  Today my oldest baby told me that he didn't want to go to school because it was so much more fun to be at home playing with Mommy and Daddy.  :)  We pressed on...got back to school.  on time.  and I had to stop for gas.  impressive!

The Mr. and I had the past 11 days off together.  In those 11 days, I cannot tell you how many times I thanked God for putting me and the Mr. together.  So many times I would hear him and the kids laughing together and the biggest smile would come over my face.  I am married to an incredible man.  We have amazing kids.  Every day might not be perfect but those imperfect days make for one truly magical life that we have together.

kind of funny that this is the best photo of all of us from Christmas this year.

This December was amazing.  We had my dad in town for Christmas.  The week before that, Jeff's parents were here and the week before that, my brother and Molly.  To say that December was a fantastic month would be a complete understatement!  We thoroughly enjoyed each visitor we had in our home.  We made memories that will last a lifetime.

To anyone that came to visit us, Thank YOU!!!  Thank you for taking time out of your life to spend time with us.  Photos and recaps to come!

Happy 2013

My goal for 2013 is to do a much better job of keeping this family journal up to date.  I am trying to use my real camera more and my phone camera less.  I can't quite commit to a 365 project, but I am committing to weekly blogging!  I hope to catch up on some of the highlights I missed in 2012 and document the dailies of life in 2013.

love love love!

almost perfect....except for emily's blurred face.

the way they look at me 90 percent of the time when I have a camera in hand.
